OKULUS DESK
The Okulus Desk is the debut furniture piece in the Okulus Series of “space-within” design products for the home. Constructed as a cabinet unit (also customizable as a 2-drawer unit), its design evolved from the Dark Matter Desk. It deviates from this more traditional form via its peephole, designed on the exterior to guide you to a miniscule, internal storytelling portal containing a visual surprise. It's a reality-defying vignette that exists INSIDE the furniture.
Shown here, the internal vignette is visible through a wristwatch talisman disguising the flush peephole.
Made from solid timber, the Okulus Desk features Aardvark Interiors’ signature segmented joinery reinforced with hardwood splines.
The Okulus Desk’s faces are constructed from meticulously selected timber slabs, re-sawn into thin strips and artfully arranged into a cascading heartwood and sapwood grain composition.
Shown in bleached oak and maple with SHAPED bronze hardware. May be ordered with customizations.
